Part of activities to position Vifor Pharma as an attractive employer to new medical talent, we hosted 40 PhD/post-doc students from the Life Science Zurich Young Scientists Network at an ‘Open Doors’ event, last week. Despite the last minute change to a virtual online format, the event was very successful.
What happened at this recent event?
Last week’s event was a great opportunity to build a connection between medical academia and industry, allowing us to have direct interaction with students as we provided insights into different career opportunities within Vifor Pharma.
After having been warmly greeted by Pamela Penman, Head International Talent Acquisition, who shared her personal experience and the importance of choosing a company whose values and beliefs represent ours, colleagues from various departments shared their own personal experiences and professional journeys. They gave tips to students and reinforced the message that it’s important to choose a company that fosters values and beliefs that align with their own.
“Our commitment to medicine, the future generation of scientists and of course our patients, remains strong. Adopting and adapting to new technologies allowed us to have a great exchange. Thank you all who supported and participated”, said Michael Puri, Chief HR Officer, Vifor Pharma.
